| Facebook has taken over. There is no need to have 'what to say'. Good and bad. It was a stellar weekend. Posted some pics here.

| It is really an indescribable feeling - very mixed. Monday evening I passed my doctoral defense and now am....Dr. Humphreys! How crazy is that! I am very happy. Incredibly thankful for the people I have met along this leg of the journey. Happy. Incredibly thankful for the people who have accompanied, supported, and encouraged me on this bit of the journey. Who would have thought...well, certainly not me. God truly has plans for us beyond our wildest imaginings.

| Trauma! I thought for a moment that I had lost my free internet access. I went to Cili Kaimas for dinner and was directed to a fee site for Zebra/Teo. Came home and was able to log on like normal. Hope this is not a sign of things to come. Knock on wood.
Today was a busy day at LCC. We hosted the national ESU competition. Distinguished judges (amongst others) included our own Marlene Wall (VP, Academics), Brian Herman (Canadian Ambassador), and representatives from the American and British Embassies. It was also the 2nd Annual Klaipeda-wide Karjeros Muge. An event initiated by LCC's Career Center, the Career Fair is a collaboration between LCC, KU, and Klaipeda Colleges. | | |
| Dang cold (-12C)...or something. There has been a big yellow bus with its hazard lights on most of the afternoon parked on Kretingos gatve (street) across from LCC. I am guessing that something underneath is frozen or locked up...the bus driver has repeated used an stick with large open flame on the end to heat something near the tires... hmmm mayhaps I'll walk home or take a taxi.

| Only here... I received a phone call from the LCC Receptionist asking if I could come and help. A member of the Klaipeda community had come in search of a Canadian. A marine engineer applying to work in the U.K. needed to find a U.K. citizen or a member of a commonwealth country to verify that his picture was his likeness...I received a box of Merci chocolates for my trouble.
